You spend a third of your life in bed. So shouldn‘t it be clean?

Why is a clean mattress important
for your health, well-being and sleep

What is the problem?

Why does a not cleaned
mattress effect us?

Many contaminants accumulate in a mattress. All these contaminants affect our sleeping comfort, the quality of the mattress, and our health.
Skin flakes, dead hair, sweat, and other body fluids provide the perfect breeding ground and habitat for bed mites, bacteria, spores, and mold.
Many people suffer from health problems and symptoms, but do
not know where they come from – most of the time a house dust
allergy is the cause of these symptoms.

There are multiple smptoms:

Frequent coughing

Breathing problems

Asthmatic symptoms

Runny nose

Irritated eyes

Increased sneezing

Why?

The house-dust allergy

Almost one in three people suffers from the effects of allergic reactions – with an upward trend. The cause isalways an overreaction of our body to foreign substances. Actually innocuous substances are wrongly classified as dangerous. This false reaction leads to an increased release of the messenger histamine – which then leads to known allergic reactions.
Dust mites are the cause of the most common indoor allergen worldwide. In principle, a corresponding immune reaction can occur at any age. However, the first symptoms are particularly common in childhood or adolescence: One in five children is already sensitive to house dust allergens.

Cause and effect

The trigger of house dust allergy are certain proteins in the
feces of mites. The mite excrement accumulates on the mattress,
dries, disintegrates and finally distributed with each
turn in the sleep or by shaking the blankets throughout the
whole room. Through turbulences, the dried mite droppings
enter the room air that we breathe, can deposit on the mucous
membranes in the eye, nose and lungs and trigger the
described hypersensitivity reactions of our immune system.

Sleeping Comfort

What about the mattress

Over time, mattresses lose their performance due to
contamination. Dust, sweat and residues clog the inner
structure, reducing breathability and proper ventilation.
As airflow is restricted, heat and moisture build up, causing
increased sweating and discomfort. With ongoing
contamination, the mattress gradually hardens, significantly
reducing sleep comfort and overall sleep quality.

Typical contaminations in mattresses:

Bed mites
Allergenic substances
Skin particals
Fungus
Moisture and mold
Dead hair
Spores
Bacterials
